Import Movie Paradise Into Refract: History, Ratings, Comments, Lists
Movie Paradise exports your data as a ZIP from its settings. Refract imports it in full: episode and movie watches with their dates, watching and dropped statuses, ratings on the 1 to 10 scale, rewatches, your comments with their original dates, favorites and lists.
Step 1: get your Movie Paradise export
You will end up with: movie-paradise-export-….zip.
- Open Movie Paradise and go to Profile → Settings → Data & Storage → Export My Data.
- Start the export and wait for the file to be prepared.
- Save the ZIP to the phone where Refract is installed.
Step 2: import it into Refract
- Install Refract on iOS or Android (links at the bottom of this page) and sign in.
- Open Settings → Import → Movie Paradise and pick the file.
- Review the preview: it shows what the file contains, category by category, and lets you untick anything you do not want.
- Start the import. It runs in the background with a progress bar; you can leave the app.
- Read the completion summary. Check the completion screen for the import's undo option and its scope.
What comes across
- Watched shows with each episode's watch date, and watched movies with dates.
- Watching and dropped statuses.
- Show, movie and episode ratings (1 to 10).
- Rewatches, added to titles you already have.
- Comments, posted on your Refract profile with their original dates.
- Favorites and lists, created as private lists.
What does not, or only partly
- Watchlist: only titles with no watch history in the file become plan-to-watch.
- Comments are public on Refract once your profile is public; keep the profile private if you prefer.

Yes. Imports, like the rest of the tracker, are free with no ads and no paywall. Refract Pro is optional cosmetic supporter tiers only.
